This Privacy Policy sets out the practices we have put in place to protect your privacy and personal information.
By using our services and/or by accessing our website you consent to the collection, transfer, processing, storage, disclosure and other uses described in this Privacy Policy.
You can access our services including but not limited to phone, email, screen share, file share or the task bar tool. A “Device” is any computer used to access our services, including without limitation a desktop, laptop, mobile phone, tablet, or other consumer electronic device.
All of the different forms of data, content, and information described below are collectively referred to as “information.”
We may collect and store the following information you provide us with:
Information You Provide
When you register an account or interact with us, we collect some personal information, such as your name, company name, phone number, credit card or other billing information, email address, home and business postal addresses, geographic location, survey responses, support queries, blog comments and social media handles. You may also ask us to import your contacts by giving us access to your third party services (for example, your email account). You may also provide us with your contacts’ email addresses when sharing folders or files with them. We may also receive Personal Information (for example, your email address) through other users, for example if they have tried to share something with you.
Log Data
When you use our services, we automatically record information from your Device, its software, and your activity using the services. This may include the Device’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, the web page visited before you came to our website, information you search for on our website, locale preferences, identification numbers associated with your Devices, your mobile carrier, date and time stamps associated with transactions, system configuration information, metadata concerning your information, and other interactions with our services.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file placed in your web browser that collects information about your web browsing behaviour. Use of cookies allows a website to tailor its configuration to your needs and preferences. Cookies do not access information stored on your computer or any Personal Data (e.g. name, address, email address or telephone number). Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can choose to reject cookies by changing your browser settings. This may, however, prevent you from taking full advantage of our website.
Our website uses cookies to analyse website traffic, provide social media sharing and liking functionality and help us provide a better website visitor experience. In addition, cookies and pixels may be used to serve relevant ads to website visitors through third party services such as Google AdWords and Facebook Adverts. These ads may appear on this website or other websites you visit.

When we provide or when you use our services, we may collect personal information.

You can opt out of any marketing communications from us by updating your account settings information, unsubscribing or emailing us and your request will be actioned immediately.
Geo-Location Information
Some Devices allow applications to access real-time location-based information (e.g. GPS or other location based tracking service). Our mobile apps do not collect such information from your mobile device at any time while you download or use our mobile apps, but may do so in the future with your consent or by notice to you, in order to improve our services. Some photos and videos you upload to our services may contain recorded location information. We may use this information to optimize your experience or to improve our services.
If you do not wish to share files embedded with your geo-location information with us, please do not upload them. If you do not want to store location data in your photos or videos, please consult the documentation for your camera to turn off that feature. Also, some of the information we collect from a Device (e.g. IP address) can sometimes be used to approximate a Device’s location.
Analytics
We collect some information (ourselves or using third party services) using logging, such as IP address, which can sometimes be correlated with Personal Information.
We use this information for: (i) the purposes described in this policy, (ii) to monitor and analyse use of our services, (iii) technical administration of our services, (iv) to increase the functionality and user-friendliness of our services, and (v) to verify that users have the authorization needed to process their requests.
Your Use
Any information you choose to provide should reflect how much you want others to know about you. Please consider carefully what information you disclose and your desired level of anonymity.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
We may share or disclose your information with your consent, (e.g. if you use a third party application to access your account (see below)).
Some features of our services may have the ability to make some of your information public. You acknowledge that public information may be broadly and quickly disseminated.
Service Providers, Business Partners and Others
We may use third-party companies and individuals to help us provide, analyse, and improve our services (including but not limited to data storage, maintenance services, database management, web analytics, payment processing, and improvement of service features). These third parties may have access to your information but only for the purposes of performing these tasks on our behalf and under obligations similar to those in this Privacy Policy. Our contracts with third parties prohibit them from using any of your Personal Information for any purpose other than that for which it was shared.
Third-Party Applications
We may share your information with a third party application with your consent (e.g. when you choose to access our services through such an application). We are not responsible for what those parties do with your information, so you should make sure you trust the application and that it has a privacy policy acceptable to you.
Compliance with Laws and Law Enforcement Requests; Protection of Huon IT’s Rights.
From time to time, we may be required to disclose information about you (including information you provide us) when we have a good faith belief that disclosure is reasonably necessary to:
(i) comply with a law, regulation or compulsory legal request;
(ii) protect the safety of any person from death or serious bodily injury;
(iii) prevent fraud or abuse of Huon IT or its users; or
(iv) to protect the rights, property or safety of Huon IT, our customers or third parties.
If we provide your information to a law enforcement agency as set forth above, we will remove Huon IT’s encryption from the information before providing them to law enforcement. However, Huon IT will not be able to decrypt any information that you encrypted prior to storing them on our services.
Business Transfers
If we are involved in an actual or proposed merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our shares or assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, but we will notify you (for example, via email and/or a prominent notice on our website) of any change in control or use of your Personal Information or other information, or if either become subject to a different Privacy Policy. We will also notify you of choices you may have regarding the information.
Non-private or Non-Personal Information
We may use and disclose anonymised, non-private, aggregated, or otherwise non-personal information, such as usage statistics of our services, to improve our services. Any information you choose to make publicly available, such as blog comments and testimonials, will be available for others to see. If you subsequently remove this information, copies may remain viewable in cached and archived pages on other websites or if others have copied or saved the information.
If we hold your Personal Information, you may request access to, or an update, correction or deletion of, your Personal Information by contacting info@HuonIT.com.au. We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you our services, after which time (subject to the below) your information will be deleted.
If you wish to cancel your account or request that we no longer use your information to provide you with our services, you may delete your account by contacting us at info@HuonIT.com.au.
We may retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations (including for actual or anticipated legal proceedings), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Consistent with these requirements, we will try to delete your information as quickly as reasonably possible upon request.
Please note, however, that there might be a delay in deleting information from our servers and backed-up versions might exist after deletion.
We do not delete from our servers any information that you have in common with other users.
Our website includes links to other websites whose privacy practices may differ from those of Huon IT. These links are meant for your convenience only. Links to third party websites do not constitute sponsorship or endorsement or approval of these websites. If you submit personal information to any of those websites, your information is governed by their privacy statements. We encourage you to carefully read the privacy statement of any website you visit.
This privacy policy applies solely to information collected by us (including on this website).
The security of your information is important to us. When you enter sensitive information (such as a credit card number) on our order forms, we encrypt the transmission of that information using secure socket layer technology (“SSL”).
We will use all reasonable means to protect the confidentiality of your Personal Information while in our possession or control. All information we receive from you is stored and protected on our secure servers from unauthorized use or access.
In the event there is a breach of our security and your Personal Information is compromised, we will promptly notify you in compliance with the applicable law.

Cross-Border Disclosure
To enable us to deliver our services, we may transfer or disclose information that we collect about you, including Personal Information, across borders for storage and processing in countries other than Australia. If your Personal Information is transferred and processed outside Australia, it will only be transferred to countries that in our view have adequate privacy protections. These countries include but are not limited to, North America, Singapore and Japan.
Our services are not directed to persons under 18. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 18. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with Personal Information without their consent, he or she should contact us at info@HuonIT.com.au. If we become aware that a child under 18 has provided us with Personal Information, we will delete such information from our files as quickly as possible.
You have the right to request access to any personal information we may hold about you and to request its correction. We will deal with requests for access to personal information in accordance with the APPs.

make a complaint in relation to privacy and/or the handling of your personal information

We will always give you access to your Personal Information unless there are legal reasons why we can’t.
Some of the situations where we do not have to give you access include when:
we believe there is a threat to life or public safety;
there is an unreasonable impact on other individuals;
the request is frivolous;
the information wouldn't be ordinarily accessible because of legal proceedings;
it would be unlawful;
it would be likely to harm the activities of an enforcement body; or
it would harm the confidentiality of our commercial information.

Please address your complaint in writing to the email address provided in the "Contact Us" section below and provide as much detail as possible about the circumstances that you believe amount to a breach. On receiving a complaint we will undertake an internal investigation and we may contact you if we need to obtain any further information in relation to your complaint. We will provide a written response to your complaint as soon as practical and within 30 days of receiving your compliant.
